There are rumours of a deal between Nawaz Sharif and the establishment and not only senior members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) federal and Punjab cabinets but Prime Minister Imran Khan himself has stated repeatedly that they wouldn’t let any deal/NRO take place between Nawaz Sharif and the establishment.
Even on the eve of social activist and educationist Ammar Ali Jan and journalist Rizwan Razi aka Razi Dada’s arrest by police and FIA respectively, Imran Khan, while inaugurating a tree plantation ceremony, spoke on the deal that would never take place according to him.
Here is a detailed analysis by Murtaza Solangi on why Nawaz Sharif and the establishment haven’t been able to reach an agreement. He says Shehbaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were offered by the establishment to take PML-N over but on the condition that they’d guarantee Nawaz Sharif’s non-interference in the party matters. Solangi says that none of the two was able to give the commitment that they’d be able to manage a minus-Nawaz PML-N.
This and other political issues surrounding the deal in this 10 minute video by Murtaza Solangi for Naya Daur.
