My talk at Brown University in September 2018.
I spoke on post-colonial nation building and the contemporary politics of Pakistan – in wake of the 2018 elections & the rise of Imran Khan.
I argued that creating a nation has always been a discussion in Pakistan. Even today the debate is still prevalent and is reflected in the political and academic discourses.
Simultaneously, it must be noted that the recent elections in Pakistan is a clear indication of the changing contours of the Pakistani society.
In the final part of my talk, I talked about the structural changes that have been taking place in the politics of Pakistan.
