Sikh Pilgrims celebrate Baba Guru Nanak’s 549th birth anniversary

Thousands of Sikh Pilgrims arrive in Pakistan to celebrate Baba Guru Nanak’s 549th birth anniversary.

Around 3500 pilgrims have arrived from India alone (last year this number was 2600).

They travelled across the border via train. Most of the pilgrims headed straight towards Nankana Sahib. The religious celebrations will continue till November 30.

Pilgrims in the past years have come from Canada, UK, USA, Malaysia, Iran and Kenya.
